Brochure: House of the musicians
Photography
Exterior shots of the House of Musicians (architect: Raimund Abraham) of the Foundation Insel Hombroich & Raketenstation Hombroich.
Layout
The aim of this assignment was to create a print-ready brochure with a focus on architecture and graphic design. Especially the strongly stylised cover page points to the minimalist basic concept of the layout.
Object
For architect Raimund Abraham, the House of Musicians was a plastic sculpture. Through the interplay of geometric forms, fused into a single sculpture, it allows the visitor elementary perceptions of these through light, mass, openings and surfaces.
A brochure was subsequently developed from the photographs. The aim of the brochure was to create a link between architecture and graphic design. From the geometric features of the building, graphic elements are developed that reflect the architectural principles of the building.
Auch auf dem Cover (U1 & U4) werden die architektonischen Besonderheiten des Objektes abstrahiert und in eine SW-Grafik übersetzt. The content of the brochure is also about the formal language of the building.
A brochure was produced on the House of Musicians at Raketenstation Hombroich. The brochure focuses on the geometric forms from which the architect Raimund Abraham developed the entire building and which are also reflected in the minimalist shapes of the floor plan.
